AU students showed respect & gratitude to teachers during Wai Kru Ritual

AU Students representing various schools presented elegantly arranged flowers to management members as a gesture of displaying respect, reverence and deep gratitude to lecturers during the ceremonial Wai Kru occasion. Participated by administrators, lecturers, staff and student representatives, the ritual signifying a brilliant way to start the new academic year and moreover formalizing student–teacher relationship, was organized by the Assumption University Student Organization (AUSO) on July 23, 2020 at Suvarnabhumi Campus.
Officiating the traditional ceremony, Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President-Rector Magnificus, delivered a blessing speech to all students and then presented the University Council Certificates of Honours to students achieving academic excellence. The event was followed by the introduction and presentation of honorable pins to the student council (AUSO’s) newly elected President, Vice Present and management team members & leaders.
With the current impact of COVID-19 pandemic and the government’s safety guidelines, the Wai-Kru Ceremony is performed: employing new normal format so everyone can join the ceremony via online channel.
